Palm Springs Party

My recommendation for this entry? Put on Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours”, maybe even light some incense, and soak up the stunning vintage vibes of Kelly and Alan’s Palm Springs micro-wedding.

Let the Skyline Speak for Itself

The couple wanted the dreamy desert skyline to be the moment, and for the altar florals to seamlessly blend in with the view. Kelly asked for primarily white ceremony florals- with hints of warmth to merge the elegant altar florals with the unique color explosion of the reception tables. No desert wedding comes without wind, which posed a fun challenge for me! I mounted the mechanics to cement pavers and covered them with landscape rocks, and it’s now my go-to trick for windy meadow arrangements. Like the desert flowers, I must adapt!

I feel it’s necessary to highlight the bridal bouquet that blended the sophisticated and elegant altar florals with the bright and citrusy tables. Kelly is a lover of peonies and poppies- so the bouquet was the perfect place to highlight these stunning focal blooms. The bright oranges and stark whites were the perfect statement with the subdued, dreamy desert colors.

The Best Dressed Friends

It would be a disservice to talk about Kelly and Alan’s wedding without talking about the FASHION! This group brought the cool to the desert. The vibe was funky, a little bit western and yet, oh so chic. Let it be known that the guest photos have become my inspiration for planning future weddings, maybe even MY future wedding!

Dinner in the Desert

The couple thrifted their taper candle holders and filled them with all different colored taper candles. The vibe we went for was Tuscan funky garden party, the color palette was bright, citrusy, and zesty! I brought the wildflower superbloom energy to a desert wedding in November. The tablescapes created such a fun and unique feeling, in contrast to the sophisticated, chic altar florals. The aforementioned wind had a mind of its own, so the tables received a little extra support with some rocks and moss, further evidence that florists are whimsical magicians.

Kind Words

Tori was the absolute best! From our first meeting with her we knew we were in great hands. She captured everything we had hoped for in our mood board and then some, and was an angel on the day of the wedding! Would highly recommend working with Tori for any event!
